The sun was finally out for this weeks ride at the Fox and goose in Illston. What a fantastic little pub it is with excellent service from the team with numerous pizza’s ordered and devoured.

There were 3 led rides – 15 miles (Pete Condon), 20 Miles (May Naylor) and 24 Miles (me) in what was quite a breezy evening that was pretty chilly when out of the sun. It was another really good turnout with about 30 riders.

There were a few hills to conquer which is usually the case when the village has ‘on the hill’ as part of it’s title and I’m told there were a few ‘personal bests’ recorded on Strava so well done to all.

The return to the pub provided the usual buzzing atmosphere and great conversation. Thanks to you lot.

In other news – I’ve now placed the order for club kit with Vanelli. The lead time is about 6 weeks and I’ll be contacting those that have ordered in the next couple of weeks to provide them with Pete’s bank details so that monies can be transferred ahead of delivery. If anyone wants to add to the order then you really only have until Monday morning to let me know as that’s when it’ll go to the manufacturer. This will be the only order this year due to the quantities required and the lead times. Thanks again.

Finally – next week sees us return to Glooston Village Hall for rides followed by Caroline’s lovely curry. Please remember to order on the website by Monday at the latest (Pete assures me the link is working now!) so that Caroline has enough time to get the ingredients in the right quantities. Fingers crossed for fine weather. Take care all.
