So – we’re seven rides into the new MVSC season and it’s been a story of mostly dodging showers and great turnouts. The ‘E-bike’ group has attracted some new riders but please let any friends you have with e-bikes know that they’ll be made most welcome on a Wednesday evening. It’s also fine to go with one of the other groups on an e-bike if you want to ride a bit further or faster -the choice is yours (but please don’t overtake the ride leader’s the ascents!).

Quite a few riders have been on holidays – please remember to send any snaps of you in a MVSC jersey to Pete Condon if you’d like to be posted on the Web-gallery.

We’re beginning to get to know the pubs/ locations that we’re made really welcome by the owners and staff. Also those that provide great food and drink. We intend to choose these willing locations over others for obvious reasons so please keep providing feedback to myself, Pete or the ride leaders so we can identify the best places to ride from with the best reviews. We will be trying a few new ones over the forthcoming weeks.

The order for MVSC kit has now been placed with Hans at Vanelli so thank you to those that have ordered. As we’re in a busy period of the cycling season for the manufacturer, we’ll be looking at about 8 weeks before delivery. When it arrives, I’ll let you know and ensure I have all the items with me for collection on a Wednesday evening.

Next week sees us return to Glooston Village Hall and the “Woodsmans’ bar where we’ll be treated to some more lovely South Leicestershire routes along with Caroline’s first Spaghetti Bolognese for the Mike Vybiral Summer Cyclists. Remember to select food on the website before Monday evening please so Caroline knows how many to cater for.

Thanks for reading and please find a few photos to follow from the last few rides to browse through.
