Johnno’s 100 Mile Ride for LOROS

A date for the diary is Saturday 9th July.  Organised by the Cock Inn at Peatling Magna and ‘Boys on Bikes’ to raise money for LOROS and in memory of Johnno the landlord of the Cock Inn who supported many Winter rides.

New for this year: Mike Vybiral inspired Summer Cycling apparel by Vanelli.

It was suggested that we should design some Summer Cycling jerseys for the season. So, thanks to Nick Timms and Jadene Condon, the following designs were produced. There is a short sleeve version and a long sleeve version (see below). Some of the ride leaders will be modelling these.

  • Enviroline Short Sleeve ‘Summer Cycling’ jersey £56 (sizes available 3XS to 5XL)
  • 4 Season ‘Summer Cycling’ long sleeve jersey £66 (sizes available 2XS to 4XL)
  • (Approximately 4 – 6 weeks delivery).

We intend to place another order with the supplier at the End of April with a view to getting these delivered in June.

New Season!

Welcome to 2022. We all had a very challenging year last year,  so let’s hope this year will be much better.  Thanks to all our ride leaders last year for their help and support.  This year there will be four rides; 10 miles, 15 miles, 20 miles and 25 (approx) miles lead by Peter Pollard, Peter Condon, May Naylor, Nick Timms, Phil Rayner, with Bill Barrie to assist.

There has been some discussion about doing a Saturday morning ride, out from the Market Harborough Settling Rooms.  For example, last year we did a ride out to Wadenhoe near Oundle, taking in lunch at The King’s Head, which was very enjoyable.  See the route below.  If you are interested, and have any routes of your own you’d like to put forward, please drop us an email.
